NEXT ADVISORY
-------------
NEXT COMPLETE ADVISORY...800 AM PDT.

Last night's rain seems to have been the result of unsettled weather offshore caused by Frank's proximity and it looks like more of the same today. Rainfall measured 1.08/inch - most of it before midnight. August's total is now 9.53 inches. Only August 2003 had a higher total - 13.16 inches - a month where we had two
storms skim this coast, one right after the other, and dump a huge amount of rain (leading to the worst flooding I've seen here in the past 9 years).

That thunder and lightning last night was impressive - very loud and directly overhead during much of the night. It will be interesting to see what our roads look like today. Road report, anyone?? More later if the 10 AM report changes anything.
