Yes but........ the powers that be would most likely set the tax so high that 'illegal' drugs would still be cheaper, thus keeping that industry intact and still requiring police enforcement. That is what is happening with tobacco in New York now. |
You are correct about a 'lost generation'. I wish I shared your optimism about folks discovering for themselves that drugs were not a wise thing to do. Ask any social worker in the US about the likelihood of the child of a drug addict breaking the cycle.
