We have a friend who resigned from BP two plus years ago as an on'board safety officer and wrote a letter predicting exactly what was going to happen (and did!) He says furthermore that no one could have predicted the incredible underground pressure at this site. Everywhere else in the world except the US, offshore drilling must be accompanied by an escape well which goes in to the source at an angle. BP has been pressuring Canada to make an exception so they can 'do' the Beaufort Sea' without an escape well....not on your life!!!
