Something I've wanted to say for awhile:

If we don't want to read a particular posting, it's
easy to skip over it - that I agree with. However,
if you're interested in the postings on any particular thread, there's no way to know if subsequent postings have anything at all to do with the subject first presented. Recently, almost every thread devolves into something that has absolutely nothing to do with the original subject. It seems to me that most of these postings are from people who may or may not spend much time in La Manzanilla but all are looking for a place to express personal opinions that can be
more or less anonymous because of no requirement to identify yourself in any way except with an e-mail address. The majority of these postings are from men (I'm sure Daniel will correct me if I'm wrong) - and I'm not going there - and many remind me of late night discussions in dorm rooms or frat houses, after much beer or ????.

There really should be a place for rambling treatises about life in general - maybe it could be
another part of this forum, entitled Existential
Musings or something. Anyway, I just wanted to
express my frustration about what has been a really valuable resource turning into something I
hardly recognize. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, and I encourage anyone who agrees to speak up now - Daniel needs to know if this is
a minority view or if there's something wrong in
paradise.

And speaking of paradise, we haven't had any drive-by shootings, beheadings or even a fight in
the plaza this summer. La Manzanilla is still La Manzanilla. Still no rain however.
