The crazy winds we're experiencing today seem to be coming off Tropical Depression 6-E, currently 325 nm southwest of Manzanillo. 6-E is moving to the west/northwest and won't be a threat to land but may bring more wind and rain tonight. Rainfall for the past 24 hours is still less than an inch. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/ep201006.html And check out Dr. Jeff Master's blog on Weather Underground, re: a new La Nina cycle starting in the Pacific: http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters /comment.html?entrynum=1543 |
