The CURP card is a national identity card. You must have it (the CURP number, not necessarily the card itself) to apply for IMSS insurance and a number of other things, like a Jalisco license, if they remember to ask. As a Federal document, from La Manz your nearest location is, alas, next to the left entrance of Soriana in Manzanillo. The "card" itself is a piece of paper in a printer that spits out your document. But the CURP number is based on your CV, so anyone can make up the same CURP without ever seeing your "card" (piece of paper). When we got our FM2s, they looked at the information for the visa and entered the same CURP that we were "assigned" in Manzanillo. You might check your FM3 to see if it has a CURP line. If so, you don't need to go anywhere, you've already got it.
