We have pictures of the July 2008 "water event". The ground became so saturated that the empty lots that where surrounded by walls had a couple of feet of standing water. We had so much water coming in from the garden it looked like a waterfall coming over the stairs. Very exciting to say the least. The upside of all this is that it seemed to have flushed a lot of the salts from the ground so when we dried out the garden and all the plants just bloomed in such a magnificent display of growth. Then came the butterflies! That was just magical! |
