BRIDGE REOPENS, REGULAR OPERATIONS RESUMES AT U.S. CONSULAR AGENCY IN PUERTO VALLARTA Date: September 02, 2010 On September 01, 2010, Jalisco State Civil Protection authorities in conjunction with Nayarit State authorities authorized full traffic usage of the remaining span of the bridge connecting the two states and linking Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta. Mexican State and Federal authorities state that studies conducted by specialists confirm that the remaining bridge can be used by all traffic. In addition, authorities stated that it will take approximately six months to rebuild the affected span, which collapsed on August 31.
