Seeing that LaManzanilla is in a semi protected bay your ocean water may not be the cleanest around due to the tides as with Santa Monica Bay which as areas from graded "A" to "F". San Pedro is the worst as ocean water doesn't circulate. Maybe the same holds true down there. Not much you can do about that
