In wrapping up Dia Mexicano, thank you to the 107 people that came to attend this event and support the efforts of the local dance groups and La Catalina Educational Foundation. As a first time event, we were very pleased with the interest in this event and the turnout. Below is a summary of the event costs and revenue. Revenue: 26852 pesos (107 tickets plus drinks) Expenses: 21740 (including food, stage and music equipment, transportation of dancers, tables, etc.) Profit: 5112 pesos Profit Division: 40% (2045 pesos) went to Danzare Eventos for bringing this fabulous show! 60% (3067 pesos) goes to LCEF’s educational programs, of which 2000 pesos will be donated to Maestra Claudia’s children’s folkloric dance group to help with dance costume expenses. (By the way, make sure you see them perform at the upcoming “A Night under the Stars” event on Saturday, February 19th at 6pm!) Also, please note that if you attended Dia Mexicano your ticket automatically entered you in a drawing for a free original painting. We are currently waiting to collect the painting from the contributing artist and will notify the winner via message board in the next couple of weeks. Mil gracias to everyone who attended and we hope that we can make this event even more successful in the year’s to come, to bring more revenue for educational programs. |
