Puppy with Distemper

I was stopped on the street by someone who had bought a puppy from Ramirez Vet.Supply on the square on March 16th. I'm very sad to report that the puppy died this morning of distemper. This is terrible news for our community. Distemper is extremely contagious and there have been a lot of puppies sold in the past week or so. If you know of someone that has a puppy from Ramirez please tell the owners that it needs shots ASAP and needs to be confined until it can be determined if it is sick. It takes 2 weeks for the distemper virus to show itself and it is passed to other dogs by the urine and saliva.
If your dog does not have a distemper shot(moquillo) please get it one ASAP.
