We went there a few days ago by car. Were stopped by the State Police at their "checkpoint charlie". They asked for ID, wanted to make sure we had no booze, and searched the car. When I asked the policeman in charge if he spoke any English, he said "Nunca" (never). Then they let us drive in. They wouldn't let us drive up over the hill to the snorkelling beach - we had to walk in. We were watched the whole time. The main beach and the snorkelling beach were eerily empty - we were the only visitors there. We seemed to feel the bad vibes there, I must say... some sort of bad energy in that place now. |
