I put Israelification into Google, first hit was the article I linked to. The article
generated quite a bit of press.

This Telegraph article talks about ethnic profiling and using the intuition of security personnel.

Then this, which is a huge security hole in the current system. "TSA officials will only
pat down Muslim women in the head and neck area".

If the head of the TSA and politicians hold stock in things like the scanners, or get
large campaign donations from the companies making them, then conformation bias
and money would prevent them from seeing others solutions.

It takes less time to do the security check the Israel way and their biggest airport
uses that method, so why wouldn't it work in the US?

I think the main argument is that the possibilities are endless. If someone
wanted to get an explosive onto a plane they could just hide it up their butt.
Two people do that and combine the explosives in the bathroom of the plane and down
goes the plane. What would that lead to, rectal exams?

Lots to read, the best answers quite often come from some average person posting on a forum.
