We're in middle of an "area de instabilidad" - for sure! Last night produced 1.20 inches of rain and an impressive thunderstorm with intermittent electrical outages - most for just a minute or two - but it made for an interesting evening. Hurricane Eugene, which made it up to Category 4 on Tuesday, is responsible for the huge waves still crashing in this morning and a low pressure system to the south is responsible for much of the unsettled weather around us. With so much moisture in the air, I'll be surprised if we don't get more rain today: http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/ep201197_model.html http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/wv-l.jpg Cooler this morning - 79F/26.1C at 8:30 AM. Humidity reads 80% but doesn't feel that high. I'll check the 9-ish CNA report to see if they have anything more to add. |
