Only 0.1" of rain last night, but there was a few hours of melodious, non-violent thunder and some cooling winds. Much appreciated after another 91.5F/33C high yesterday. We finally got our screen door work done, so there shouldn't be any more power outages for now.

There is a 20% chane of a tropical storm forming in the next 48 hours down in the Gulf of Tehuantepec (offshore from Chiapas.) If it forms, it'll probably head out west. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/ep201196_model.html That's not much of a chance, but it's the most since August.

The Mexican CNA site (http://smn.cna.gob.mx/boletin/discusion/discusion.html) is saying two things that could affect us:

1. For today: high waves up to 3 meters along the coasts of Jalisco, Nayarit and southern Sinaloa. Another set of high waves for Thursday, up to 4m.

2. Their map shows a heavy thunderstorm zone (more than 70mm/2.75" of rainfall) ALMOST reaching us from the mountains north of us, but I'm not sure if that prediction was for yesterday or today.
