Lodging in Hermosillo & Culiacan

My wife and I are driving down using the Lukeville/Sonoyta crossing in a couple of weeks.

Have any of you stayed overnite in Hermosillo and/or Culiacan? Any advice on motels/hotels would be greatly appreciated.
