I just renewed my FM2 in Chapala last month. It took 14 days and they handed me a new Inmigrante card identical to the one from last year. No changes have been made yet in the Guadalajara area, ergo, most likely no changes anywhere else yet. Please don't wait past the 30-days in advance imperative to reapply. There are big new penalties (including losing all accrued time to date) for FM2's that aren't reupped 30 days in advance of expiration. This regulation is unrelated to the other even newer INM changes. Buena suerte!
