We just woke up this morning to a huge sigh of relief that it wasn't a true disaster. It could easily have been that. Apparently the storm died down from high Category 3 to Category 2 just before landfall and also may have moved north somewhat up toward Careyes. With the problems that are being experienced, just imagine if the winds had been 35 or 40 mph higher. We are thankful that there have been no reported injuries.
