Forget Travel by Air

I spoke to Alaska Air. They will not re-book passengers on next week's flight to ZLO because it is their understanding that the airport will be closed for at least 2 weeks. They are not going to be flying to Colima either ... no landing rights there. They cannot book anyone on the flight 2 weeks from now because it is full. They will not re-book you on any flight to PVR because they don't passengers stranded their because of the unsafe road conditions. If you want to travel to another destination and bus it to La Manzanilla, then you need to get a refund on your ticket and book a new flight. If you change your ticket to another destination, penenties are waived but you will likely still pay a higher fare. In short, stay home and wait for things to change. In the meantime, we can only hope for the health and safety of our friends and neighbours in La Manz right now. |
