my recent experience with street dogs, STD's and another good reason to spay/neuter your dog!

..two weeks ago a sweet, young dog magically "appeared" inside my gate, needing food and medical attention...her biggest issue is a cancerous tumor she contracted while being impregnated by one of our local male dogs....luckily, it is small and the vet feels that with 3 chemo transfusions, she might rid herself of it.... these diseases are sexually transmitted by male dogs in the community and are a big problem according to the local vets...Please help us keep our community of dogs safe, healthy and happy by encouraging everyone to get them spayed or neutered at one of the upcoming clinics in Melaque (late NOv) or in LaManz in Feb. |
