Apparently they don't have a phone number anymore at this clinic. Today we had to drive there to get our appointment. The guy at the reception/pharmacy window gave us a new nationwide number to call for IMSS appointments: 01-800-681-2525. I called it to see what it was like, and they only give appointments. They can't anwer any other questions. You need to have your clinic number ready (for example #162 for the one that used to be in Melaque/Villa Obregon and now is out past Jaluco.) And I think they want your Mexican Social Security number: we have one of these on our IMSS ID papers stapled into the front of our booklet. Maybe your name would suffice also. You might get seen on a walk-in basis if you're sick, but we just needed a regular exam with blood work. They wouldn't do that without the appointment. So that will be 4 total trips: today to get the appointment, then back for the doctor to see us and write an order/appointment for the blood work, then back for the blood draw (at a lab in Melaque I think), then finally back to the doctor for the results.
