Hi folks: As you can see from the photos below, we now have a full set of catchers' equipment. We also have 3 more batting helmets, more bats and kids' sized jerseys! (Thank you Ian and Anne Lindsay, and Laurence and Dawn Setter)

Now, all we need are shoes. We'd prefer cleats or soccer shoes, but we'll take runners (tennis shoes). The sizes are impossible to predict although Patti will try to find out. However, these kids grow so fast, so we need shoes to fit ages 8 - 14 from probably a medium kids' size to adult sizes (some of the older kids are tall!) We can always use gloves. They should be well padded in the palm.

The kids are so glad to be outfitted, but would still have a great time with a bat and a ball.

Yesterday, they started throwing their hats in the air at the end of the game, which was so funny to watch. They do high five one another after the game in a sportsmanlike manner (we used to shake hands in the olden days). Lovely to see!

Your athletic supporters.

PS Drop by Guacamoles on the Art Walk and meet some of the kids. They'll be in their jerseys. We're raffling off Patti's painting and a trellis as a fundraiser. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
