| Did research on property insurance a few years ago. If you are on the beach, you must have a rebar reinforced bulkhead. Not sure about requirements off the beach. If ING operates in your area, they could check for you. There is hurricane and other insurance. The hurricane part is pricey and you need to make sure water damage, apart from hurricane, is also covered. Also make sure lightning is covered if you have a palapa. As I recall, the price a few years back was about $800 per year for all. If you have objects of value, you will need to include them also. |
