As a surfer for almost 50 years now, and having swam in the cool, "fresh" Ocean this past week, I have a real difficulty believing that the shorebreak was averaging 3'. Surfers, traditionally, measure the height of a wave from the back of one, not its face. I have no trouble at all, though, understanding that you had a great swim, and what a neat way to spend part of your day! |
