Not much area for the water to go due to not much flat land. If the wave hits it looks according to google and other maps I've seen the wave will be forced up the valleys. But when I look at the land behind Barra it looks like the wave will go in for miles like Thailand and Japan. All I was suggesting was following the expert advice. Move to higher ground ASAP. Forget your stuff and remember your life.
There are, as you know tons of info on earthquakes and tsunami but only the folks who follow the advice seem to survive.
