It's 11:00 pm, and the "music" is up again. We are only 20 yards away—even closer than Daniel. We have family visiting from England, including 5 small children. We warned them before booking their tickets about both the fun and commotion of Semana Santa. They looked forward to it. But in no way did they imagine anything as horrible as this. The entire house shakes, we cannot speak to one another, and the kids cannot sleep. I feel the pounding in my chest from the base of the speakers.

We've always been so tolerant of everything Mexican. But this goes beyond the imaginable, even for Semana Santa. We feel absolutely helpless and abused.
