Invest 95 is a long way from becoming Hurricane Daniel, and may never get that strong. Its chance of graduating to TD, TS or hurricane status in the next 48 hrs is up to 80% now. The models don't show much wind strength before it weakens again, so it may not get beyond Tropical Depression status. But even a TD can soak us with a lot of rain if it wanders around aimlessly like this system is predicted to do. There is an almost complete lack of the normal upper level "steering currents" right now; thus this system's unpredictability. Stay tuned, and be prepared for more rain the next few days. PS, yesterday's rainfall thru midnight was 2.58", mostly in the morning and afternoon. Today since midnight we've only had 0.02". The overnight blobs gave us a miss. It's been pretty breezy though.
