Deana & Barry, Thanks Barry for telling me about Deanas Blog. It is an absolute pleasure to know you guys, and has been over the years. Your poor Lukas story broke my heart. He is so lucky to have you both in his life. I wish there would be more people like you to help rescue animals that need help so desperately. You are a true inspiration, I hope one day I have the oppurtunity to pay back the animal world. I was telling Barry we rescued a dog from Los Angelas last year. She was snatched up by the dog catcher, and was set to be put down on a friday, then shipped up here with many other rescued dogs on the tuesday. The poor thing, I'm sure was abused by a male, she had to be fixed, chipped and all her shots before coming into canada. She was with many other dogs, so I'm sure the frantic eating style she possesed stemmed from battling other dogs to fend for herself. She peed alot in the house, if she was scorned, or pet nice, or just because. She was quite timid with men....and still can be. A year later our little Daisy has blended right into our family, and I couldn't imagine our life without her. She is so content, doesn't pee inside, loves to be cuddled, and fits right into her pack with our other two dogs. This dog is the text book of happy go lucky dog! Thank you for sharing your story, it warmed my heart, and lets me remember what is truely important in this world. Your friend, and "insurance girl"...lol Bobbie
