It's developing and moving as predicted. Still not going to be a danger to us. A band of its clouds might get transported all the way to us later today, as seen on the GOES loop: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html I don't think there would be much rain in this band, if any. We could really use some rain to break our little heat wave. Yesterday it hit 94.5F here at my place; hottest this year. With the RH of 65% at that same time, that's a heat index of 116F! And it's not cooling off much at night because of the clouds that roll in from the teaser thunderstorms, trapping the daytime heat like a blanket. The low this morning only got down to 81F. Come on, rains... |
