It's now a tropical depression, 400 miles SSW of Manzanillo. The predicted track is still safely away from us, and it's not supposed to get very strong wind-wise. It should become a tropical storm by later today, but not a hurricane until Sunday maybe:



Right now it's got a huge (100+ mile diameter) area of extremely strong convection (presumably rainfall) at its center, but it's far away from us: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html
