TS Gilma in the E. Pacific is no threat to us, but as Sparks points out TS Ernesto over in the western Carribean is predicted to come ashore in the Yucatan tonight, then come ashore a 2nd time on the Mexican Gulf coast. This would send it over central Mexico by this weekend. That will almost certainly weaken Ernesto to at least a remnant low, but some of its debris moisture could make it all the way across Mexico to our area by late this weekend or early next week. It's way too early to clean the cobwebs out of my rain gauge yet; a lot can change in 5-7 days. Stay tuned! http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201205.html ![]() |
