And now another round of rain is hitting us. Up to 2.0" since it began around 7:30. That's a pretty good rain rate! The GOES IR loop shows a lot of blobs around so get ready for more: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html. PS, earlier when I said "no more storms on the horizon right now," I meant no more named tropical storms that might approach us. I should have been more clear. PPS, some of the moisture building into these thunderstorms hitting us tonight might actaully be making it all the way across the middle of Mexico from ex-tropical storm Helene now dissipating over Tamaulipas in northeast Mexico. I didn't think any of it could reach us! |
