We got 0.7" so far this morning. It looks like there is more brewing inland and heading our way, maybe for the rest of the morning: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html.

I can't find any information regarding any unusual weather situation over us right now, except the Mexican forecast agency mentions a weakening tropical wave passing us today. Nothing from the US guys. And we do have a little upper-level divergence overhead, which can help thunderstorm development.

Regardless, I can't guess what's coming beyond the next few hours, as far as local weather goes. There is a 20% chance of a tropical storm develping down in the normal breeding grounds far to our southeast in the next couple of days, but it's far from affecting us yet: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo_epac.shtml.

Enjoy the rain, and hopefully it doesn't mess up the road repairs some of you have done recently...
