Here's a chart of the daily rainfall amounts for August & September. You can see the "Weekend Effect" clearly. If you include the August 3rd rain which was on a Friday evening, and include Monday August 13th's rain, then the last 6 weekends in a row have had at least 0.5" of rain. And no significant rain (>0.5") has fallen on weekdays except for the August 15th rain which was on a Wednesday (that one drenched the final day's street procession and dancing of the church's August festival, so it certainly was as much of a bother as a weekend rain would have been!) Any bets on THIS weekend, considering Saturday evening is "El Grito" and Sunday are the Independence Day celebrations? ![]() PS, thanks to Robert at the Mariscos Deli for 1st pointing out the effect a few weeks ago when it was just beginning. I got a laugh from his joke: "What do you call the day after 2 days of rain in La Manzanilla? Monday!" I'll fill more of this in for and post it as long as the "Effect" continues... ![]() |
