Many thanks Daniel for highlighting this important event being celebrated today. Its heartwarming to know that the San Patricios are still being honoured by Mexicans, both in Churubusco and in Clifden, Ireland, birthplace of Sean O'Raghailligh (John Riley). Kudos to Paddy Maloney of the Chieftains and Ry Cooder, for raising awareness of this episode of Irish/Mexican/American history in a contemporary audience. What a joy to glimpse the making of the CD "San Patricios" where cross cultural musicians were obviously having great craic alltogether.
