The latest storm is trying to develop well to our south. Invest 93E has a 70% chance of reaching at least Tropical Depression status in the next 48 hours. Its predicted path keeps it well way from us, but its outskirts might possibly bring us a little rain in the next few days.

We could use some: it's been 7 days since the last rain, and this September is by far the driest since 2004 so far. This is supposed to be the peak of the hurricane season!
