It's a lovely little town, almost reminding one of a Bavarian villiage in the mountains. Around the jardin there are the usual offices, church and shops, with a small selection of good restaurants. We stayed in resort laid out motel style, which was pretty much empty in winter. Had a wood fireplace. Just up the hill from the jardin. Cool at night.
