Hi D ,that does sound rather insane .We have only been fortunate enough to vacation in the area last winter for a couple weeks spread out . A question about the crocs -are they wild in the lagoons and rivers in the area or just captive in the fenced in area in La Manzanilla . Reason for the question is we made some great friends last winter and I had the great opportunity of snorkeling in river across the bay from La Manzanilla .I consider it ,what I call one of those life experiences .I know there was a little croc in there as we took photos of it days earlier ,but I figured if this guy is snorkeling in there with me then the risk must be minimal. to look in the mangrove roots to find fish with visibility of 6 feet or so and prey there isn't a croc laying in there was rather exillerating to say the least .
