La Vena

That river / lagoon is most likely La Vena, close to where the boats find safe harbor. Sara and I went swimming there in 2005? The water was fresh and very clear. It changes when the tide is high enough to let the sea in. We didn't see any croc's, but if I were to go again I would certainly check with the locals. http://www.costaalegreproperties.com/e_tenacatita_real_estate_190_6.html That photo is taken from the Tenacatita side (back in the day you could drive to the end of the Tenacatita beach and take the back roads over the mountain to the lagoon) looking toward what was then the set for McHale's Navy (film) and La Vena restaurant. |
