There is a post on the tomzap thread of a letter that Canadians can send to their officials. (Thanks to Gail L.)...to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Emergencies 24/7. Their email address is: sos@international.gc.ca

This is the text of the email:
--------------
A friend of mine has gone missing in Melaque, Jalisco, Mexico. His name is Ron Lloyd Mackintosh and he was last seen on Sunday, October 21st at approximately 5:15PM in Melaque where he dropped off a friend. He was on his way home to Barra de Navidad but he never arrived there. He drives a black 2008 Jeep Pariot, British Columbia License plate # 506CNT. He had his dog with him and his cell phone. No clothes or luggage are missing. The Canadian Consulate has been notified but the word on the street there is that they are doing little to find him.

To dis-spell these rumours, please provide me with an update on their efforts to locate him.
---------------------------------

Meantime, if any of you are driving the road via PV/ La Manz and happen to see any indication of a car having left the road, could you either stop and check or at least make a note of the KM marker that is closest.

Ron had apparently talked of going to PV, but no one is sure whether he did or not.

Thanks and please send any comments, questions or response to the folks listed on tomzap, not me and if you can restrain yourselves, you can skip the posts on Frank. Everyone has gotten the message...and we need to keep the focus on Ron and the fact that he is missing.
