It's hard for me to believe that there are those that complain about the unbelievable natural beauty of the habitat we have been allowed to share with these creatures. As we see the decline in the parrot population from robbing their nests, to the abundance of quads on the beach causing the destruction of the turtle nest , it's disgusting we complain.
We have lived with the iguanas for 14 years. Our neighbors, gringos and Mexicans, marvel at their beauty in the tree tops. The size and smell of their excrement is amazing. but easily removed with a bit of water.
Watch the movie "Night of the Iguana" and listen to the words of Tennessee William's 50 years ago and maybe you'll change your mind.
Complain about the music that drowns out the bird songs on a Sunday morning or the disco music that drowns out the sounds of the ocean at midnight and maybe I'll agree with you.
