You didn't pay a deposit because you brought the car down before deposits were required. Now everybody pays.

If you've had an FM2/3 for 5 years you will have to move to Residente Permanente on your next renewal. Residente Permanente is the same as the old Inmigrante and you can't have a US/Canadian licenced car here.

Nationalizing your car has to be done at the border and probably cost $2000+
