Edited - Sorry Esmitty, despite your aside I personalized your reference to the possible origins of segmented sleep. Alcohol processing time could be one as could tobacco, and urination. The first thing I do upon waking is to smoke, pee and drink coffee. Also 4 hours would be about the amount of time one would need to stoke a fire to keep it going, or to tend a child as Alain pointed out earlier. I have not always been a segmented sleeper, it started back in 2000 when I would get up early in the morning to use the dial up Internet connection, it was the only time it worked at a useable speed. ------------- original post --------------- Meh, I have zero desire to drink other than 1 hour before sunset, I think it is a pagan thing.
