New Poles on the way to Melaque

Does anyone know for sure what the new Poles along the road to Melaque
will be used for? They are electrical poles of the cement type but I can't
imagine them cutting all the tops of those trees for the wires to pass.
It would be then end of the wonderful tunnel effect on the road and I
can't figure why we would need more power here. Hoping for some kind
of minimal invasive telephone cable.
