Those were the same years I was living in Barra for the winters and used to come to La Mazanilla in a camper van with my family and dog, to get away from the hustle and bustle of Barra We'd stay in the coconut plantation in front of the lagoon, without even knowing that there were caimans back there! - It's a miracle my roaming dog survived. I was stunned when I returned 4 years ago and saw them, as well as the beautiful little town that had sprung up!
