I have to agree that the iPhone can take some pretty terrific photos, especially of sunsets (see below). I've taken, literally, thousands of photos with my iPhone 4. But in the end, the newer digital cameras are better. They have way more pixels and depth of field, and are much faster. I've heard the iPhone 5 has greatly improved the camera capabilities, but I haven't tried it out yet.
