!OJO! The Delegado, Pedro, is in need of our help. Right now when more night surveillance is needed, the gasoline is not forthcoming from La Huerta. Pedro's meager resources can not cover the two week cost of about 140 liters (about 35 gallons or 1,500 pesos) of gas. The 2 motorcycles use about 6 liters/day to operate, going through town and into the hills. The larger pick-up is used as back up or when culprits are apprehended. There is a rash of entry activity right now and we can't afford to have these vehicles sitting idle. There will be a new crew of officers coming this Monday and Pedro needs to get them right into active watch through all neighborhoods, hills and beach areas. Hopefully the criminal activity can be stemmed. To help, you can provide gasoline or cash. Pedro is generally available 9 - 3 in his office or you can call 044 315 100 9685. Please make your donation, gas or cash, directly to him or his secretary, Lili. Pedro offers his appreciation for your help in this matter. He will keep us posted as the need is met or when La Huerta kicks in again. He feels it is really important to get and keep his crew moving (riding). Meanwhile, we need to investigate what the problem is with La Huerta. Will provide an update as we find it. Cruz
