Linda Many people also have a proper 'Bill of Sale' which may be helpful in addition to using the registration papers. However, here in Alberta, many people simply complete the section on the back of the registration and sign it and do not have a bill of sale. This is good enough in Alberta to register the vehicle as the basic legal information is present. I am not sure if a complete Bill of Sale would be acceptable as 'title' combined with your most recent registration. Good luck
