Thanks for all the good info everyone. I spoke to Oscar the broker at the border that Karen and Omar used and he sent me a copy of someone elses ICBC paper that is the Insurance part on the top and on the bottom is the part that says Vehicle Registration He said if the paper you have looks like this then we are fine. IT DOES!!! That is the first bit of good news I have had for a few days. It seems he has no problem at the border with the BC Registration paper, but as the lady from Ajijic told me, and as Nancy said, the SAT office may not want to accept it even if you already HAVE the pedimento. It seems strange to me that after you have the pedimento the car is actually imported and is a mexican car, seems they would HAVE to accept it if the legalization people at the border have already imported the car with that paper....oh, I forgot for a second...we are in Mexico.
