Sept. weather

We have a chance to spend the last two weeks in September in La Manzanilla and are curious as to what the weather is like at that time of the year. We have been told that it is not a great time to visit, but the weather web sites do not seem to paint that bad of a picture. We usually visit Mexico in Feb. - March and know that it will likely rain more in Sept. Any comments??
